Specialist Lime Plasterers - our family business  has a nationwide reputation for the highest quality conservation, restoration and repair projects on period, listed and historic buildings.

Our clients include homeowners, listed building owners, surveyors, architects and prestigious organisations such as English Heritage and The National Trust. We work closely with Birmingham Institute of Conservation, The Buildings Limes Forum and The IHBC, giving practical demonstrations in the plasterer’s craft.  We work with surveyors, architects, clients and governing bodies giving advice on the repair of lime plastering where water ingress, damp, fire, flood and neglect have been the cause of damage to period and listed properties.

Our projects range from small vernacular cottages and wattle and daub medieval timber properties to Georgian and Victorian townhouses and stately homes. Our highly skilled team restore, conserve and repair a wide range of plain, decorative, enriched and architectural features both internally and externally. We carry out all aspects of the plasterer’s craft, from Lath & Plasterwork, Ornamental Lime Plasterwork and lime stucco facades, to Roman cement and Mouldings run in situ. We produce porticos, pilasters, ashlar rendering, rustication work and rough casting using a variety of traditional & modern lime and cement based materials.

S Preece & Sons are all time served craftsmen with advanced craft C & G qualifications, Heritage L3 qualifications in advanced plasterwork and PGDipCons. We are CSCS Heritage Gold card holders, Associate members of The Worshipful Company of Plaisterers and members of The Buildings Lime Forum
